A 30-year-old man has died after sustaining a head injury during a robbery in South Hempstead over the weekend.

Nassau County police identified the man as Justinn Thomas, of South Hempstead on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the BP gas station on Grand Avenue around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Thomas was taken to a hospital and had been listed in critical condition.

Police have not revealed what was taken from the gas station on Saturday.
