The eastbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway have reopened at Exit 40 after a crash in Jericho.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m.

Nassau County police say numerous vehicles were involved, and there were multiple injuries.

The severity of those injuries is not yet known.

Officials advised that the roads reopened around 5:30p.m.
