Jonathan, thank you. We're talking to several local leaders about how they are preparing for the storm today and throughout the week. Right now, a state of emergency is in effect in the town of Hempstead. And joining us to talk about that, the town supervisor John Ferretti. John, thanks for joining us. What do you expect today? How will the town plan to react to these storms that are moving in once again? Well, good morning, Erin. Good morning, Rich. Thank you for having me. And your meteorologist said it. We're expecting heavy downpours here throughout the town of Hempstead right through the afternoon into the evening tonight, anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rain expected with periods of high winds. And so our town of Hempstead. Ro ad crews have been out making sure that all of the drains are cleared, that we avoid any possible flooding to the best that we can, although we are expecting some areas that are low lying, like for example East Rockaway, Island Park, Freeport, etc. to possibly have some flooding with a large amount of rain. So we're asking residents to help us out if they do see any downed trees. We have a website set up, Hempsteadtown.com/storm, where you can report downed trees. Please take precautions if you own a boat. Make sure you put an extra line in there, tighten it up, secure it so we don't have any boats getting off the docks and causing a hazard, and we'll work together and get through this. But it is going to be heavy periods of rain and winds. Now in the town of Hempstead. As of 15 minutes ago there have been approximately 75 power outages. So please report any power outages to PSEG, and we'll work together and get through this. I think a lot of people think about flooding where it's coastal flooding and then some rain too, but a lot of the flooding that people, you know, don't foresee is when all of that rain comes down at once, and Alex says there could be parts of the day where that happens. So, you know, regular Long Islanders who may not live by the water will see flooding as well. Yeah, and that's the challenge of this, Erin. Right now where I'm standing, it's not even raining, but we're expecting periods of torrential rain. And so don't be fooled if it's not raining out. The rain will come. If you have to be on the road, please take it slow, be precautious, safety first, and that's why in the town of Hempstead we have declared a state of emergency through through 6 a.m. tomorrow.
