A 23-year-old Lake Ronkonkoma man has admitted to selling drugs to a 13-year-old girl and later coercing her into sexual acts in exchange for cocaine, according to Suffolk County prosecutors.
Luis Gonzalez pleaded guilty Wednesday to criminal sale of a controlled substance to a child, aggravated patronizing a minor for prostitution and rape.
“This defendant targeted a child, first with marijuana and vapes and then with cocaine, using her
dependence on drugs to exploit her for his own benefit,” Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said.
During his guilty plea, Gonzalez admitted that between January 2023 and September 2025 he sold marijuana and vapes to a 13-year-old girl, before giving her free cocaine and later selling the drug to her.
Prosecutors said that when the girl couldn't afford to pay for cocaine, he suggested that she perform sexual acts in exchange for the drug.
On Sept. 16, 2025, Gonzalez gave her cocaine in exchange for sexual intercourse, authorities say.
Gonzalez was arrested in November 2025 after the victim's family alerted authorities.
He is scheduled to be sentenced next month and is expected to receive four years in prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
Authorities are asking anyone who believes they or their child may have been victimized by Gonzalez to contact the Suffolk County Police Department at 631-854-8451.
