Two teenage boys have been arrested and are accused of menacing and attacking a pair of drivers in two separate incidents in Bayville earlier this week.
Nassau County police said the first incident began around 3:50 p.m. on Memorial Day when a man, 38, saw the two kids throwing garbage on the ground in the parking lot of Stelhi Beach at 10 Bayville Rd.
According to investigators, the man questioned the teens' behavior; they responded disrespectfully and he began to drive away.
That's when video obtained exclusively by News 12 shows the kids speed up, cut him off and stop abruptly, as the man approached the exit to the beach.
The kids, only identified by their ages, 16 and 17, got out of the car, popped open the trunk, grabbed a baseball bat and lacrosse stick and began swinging at the 38-year-old man's truck, striking it several times.
The driver reversed as the teens continued to run after him. He was able to speed past the kids and get away.
Shortly after that, Nassau County police said the same kids in the same car cut a second driver off.
A woman, 25, was driving on Bayville Avenue and Mountain Avenue when one of the teens got out of the car and approached the victim. She was able to cross over into the oncoming lane and speed away.
The teen struck her Jeep's rear passenger side window, causing no damage, as she left.
Nassau County police charged the two teens with second degree criminal mischief, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, second and third degree menacing and second degree reckles endangerment.
Both will be arraigned in the youth part of First District Court in Hempstead.
