Nassau County police are investigating after a body was discovered at North Woodmere Park on Tuesday.

Authorities say officers were called to the park around 11 a.m.

A News 12 crew at the scene observed the body being moved away from a body of water inside the park before it was taken away in an EMS truck.

Police have not released details on the circumstances surrounding the body being found, how the person may have died or any personal identifiers.
