The Food and Drug Administration is recalling a brand of macaroni and cheese exclusively sold at Aldi.
The product, Park St. Deli, is available at the grocery chain’s locations nationwide.
More than 500,000 packages of the food item have been pulled because they might contain soy lecithin, the FDA says.
BEF Foods Inc., the company that makes the product, first initiated a recall in March, but it was only deemed a
Class II Recall on June 10.
This particular allergen is a food additive linked to soybeans.
The pre-made refrigerated side dish comes in a 20-oz. container and has nine packages per case.
So far, there have been no reported illnesses.
