A popular summer destination in Hampton Bays is preparing to shut its doors after just three years in operation.

The Barnyard, a bar and entertainment venue located at the former Boardy Barn site, announced on its website that it will close at the end of the summer season. The establishment opened in 2023, aiming to continue the long-standing legacy of the iconic Boardy Barn, which had drawn crowds to the area for decades.

While an exact closing date has not been confirmed, The Barnyard’s online calendar shows events scheduled through Sept. 6, suggesting operations will continue at least into early fall.

The venue quickly became a seasonal hotspot, attracting visitors with its lively atmosphere and connection to the historic property. Its upcoming closure marks another transition for a location long associated with Hampton Bays nightlife.
