An urgent reminder to slow down on a stretch of road in Putnam County.
"Heard screeching, wondering what it was," said Nick, who lives in the area.
That screeching shortly after midnight Sunday ended with a truck crashing into a stone wall at the corner of Crane and Washington roads.
Police say the driver wasn't seriously hurt but crashes like that, people who live in the area say they see all too often.
Police say they've seen at least six crashes here over the last several years.
"It is a problem spot because it is a bit of a straight away on Crane Road and then, there's a sharp turn. A lot of times, we find that speed is a factor and folks are going way too fast," said Carmel Police Chief Anthony Hoffmann.
On top of the speeding, drivers tell us there are a lot of curves and a good amount of traffic.
"It is a pretty winding road. There are a couple sections where you can't really see who's coming, who's going, who's turning," said Michelle Monaco, who drives through the area frequently.
Police are urging drivers to slow down. Officers say they're hoping to put an electronic radar sign in the area soon.
