A shooting this past Friday, an armed robbery on Monday morning and a separate slashing Monday evening have left residents throughout New Rochelle shocked.
On Friday evening, New Rochelle police responded to a report of a male shot in the vicinity of 360 Main St.
The unidentified victim suffered a gunshot wound through both his left and right forearms.
Then on Monday morning, victims told New Rochelle police they were held at gunpoint and robbed of luxury products worth over $45,000, car keys and an iPhone at 130 Pelham Road.
On Monday evening, a separate slashing incident happened at 117 Guion Place, according to New Rochelle police.
Residents in the area expressed concerns with the rash of violent crimes.
"People are like...I don't know? In different times now. It's crazy. When I was younger, I never heard about people acting up like this so it's really sad," said one resident of 117 Guion Place.
News 12 contacted the New Rochelle Mayor's Office for comment but have not heard back.
