An e-scooter operator was killed in a crash in Nassau County Wednesday evening.
David Anthony De Jesus, 23, of Roslyn, was riding the electric vehicle when he hit a 2023 Jeep Wrangler, according to police.
The collision happened around 7:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Dosoris Way and Elliot Place in Glen Cove.
De Jesus was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff, Homicide Squad detectives say.
The 19-year-old woman driving the Jeep was not hurt and no other injuries were reported.
No charges have been filed at this time.
