Police say a Brentwood man was arrested on burglary charges after he allegedly forced his way into a Farmingdale home early Saturday and refused to leave.
Nassau police say Marcus Wilkinson banged on the front door of a Melville Road residence just after 6 a.m. After being told to leave by the two victims who lived inside, he allegedly went into the gated backyard and forcefully entered the house through the rear door.
Police say that once inside the 23-year-old got into a verbal argument with the victims and refused to leave. When officers responded to the scene they were able to place Wilkinson under arrest without further incident.
He was transported to a nearby hospital for assessment and no injuries were reported, according to police.
Police say Wilkinson is charged with burglary, criminal mischief and criminal trespass. He is set to be arraigned on Sunday at the First District Court in Hempstead.
