Summer we are looking for true hidden gems here on Long Island. Yep, and one Greek restaurant in Lake Ronakama says when you come in as a customer you'll leave as a friend. Our Jen Selig is checking out Maoy restaurant. Talk about a family dinner or I should say breakfast because it's early in the morning with Andreas and the whole entire family here at and off Hawkins Avenue in Rononaba. You guys have a. Great cuisine on this table. Walk me through a little bit about where this food comes from. Traditional gyro, it's a gyro meat with a yogurt sauce inside, the french fries, tomato and onions, and they have the American gyro, no fries with the lettuce inside. Love it. You guys have been around since 2008, a very long time, nearly 20 years. What's the best part about having the restaurant in Ronkonkoma? OK, it's a big question on this one. The most important, we're, we're real. We, we believe to the people they're coming over here as a family. First they came as a customers, but they, they, they live as a friends. because it's important this one to make the people feel like a family over here. Feels like a family. That is for sure. We like a family here too. A lot of people, when they come in, they feel like their house. They have the dining room and the kitchen. I love it. So we're gonna dig in and send it back to you guys in the studio. Maybe we'll bring some back.

Looking for a fun afternoon that will keep your kids active, you may want to jump on this hidden gem in Rononama. News Jenil is at Flight Adventure Park. We are at White Adventure Park and there's a lot of excitement here for sure. Dylan, the general manager here, and when kids come, you just see smiles on their faces for sure, right? Oh, all the time, all the time. That's one of our favorite things here. So what can folks do here? Bounce, obviously. Yeah, I mean kids love it. They can get all their energy out on rainy days, you know, the hot, super hot days they come in. They love to use the trampolines. We have the inflator park. We have a dodgeball area, all that good stuff. What's your favorite part about being here? My favorite part is definitely the birthday parties. I love seeing the kids celebrate their parties with all their friends, the smiles. It's definitely something to behold. So families can come down, get a ticket. How does that all work? Yeah, of course. So we do individual day tickets. The best value is our membership. So the membership is actually the same price as a day ticket, and you get the whole month. You can jump for an hour and a half. We do birthday parties, school field trips, camp field trips, all of that for all ages too, right? You don't have to be young to bounce, of course, send them back to you guys in the studio.

A lot to do at one beach that isn't only a hidden gem but a community treasure. Yeah, our Jen Selig is checking out Lake Rononoa. Gorgeous day to be out on Lake Rononkoa with Bonnie here this morning, and you are the president of the Lake Ronkonkoma Civic Organization, and you guys do a lot to make sure that the lake is perfect. We do, and thank you for having us today and highlighting our beautiful Lake Ronkonkoa. So yes, we do. A lot to make sure that we preserve our local treasure here, not only the Lake Ronkonkoma Civic Organization, but all the groups in Lake Ronkonkoma, the Lake Ronkonkoa Improvement Group, the Chamber, the Rotary, the Heritage Group. We all work together to make sure that we advocate and support conservation efforts here. Absolutely, and truly a hidden gem, and it takes, you know, it takes a team to put it all together, and a lot of people can come out. And enjoy, right? They can, they can hang out on the sand literally here. Yes, we really do have a beautiful beach here where we hold a couple of different functions, but you can see there's a lot of people out today running on the beach. You can fish. You can kayak, you can paddle board. There's playgrounds around the lake. Enjoy beautiful sunsets right here. That's what I'm gonna do, yeah, yeah, absolutely. A nice place to relax.
