One more dry day before rain returns for a few days

Not much relief for seasonal allergy sufferers until the weekend.

Weather conditions remain dry and breezy, so the risk that wildfires will spread remains through tonight. With a clear sky, low humidity and lighter winds, temperatures will cool more than last night.
Look for lows to range from the 30s in Litchfield County to the middle 40s farther down to the Sound Shore.
A frost advisory goes up after midnight for Litchfield County. The colder temperatures and frost may harm sensitive plants. The weather remains quiet for now, but starting tomorrow there will be a shift happening. The winds will turn onshore, so some areas will really cool off for Thursday.
Highs will be in the 60s due to the winds coming off of the cooler Sound. Rain chances come in starting late Thursday and into Friday morning. There is a risk of some thunderstorms later in the day on Friday and that threat may continue into the weekend.
Rain showers are likely Saturday night and on and off into early next week. Temperatures with the clouds and rain will drop back into the 60s for a few days.
Tree pollen levels remain extremely high right now. The pollen forecast calls for a slight drop over the weekend due to the rain.
