A back-to-school shopping spree to help Suffolk County families in need.

News 12 has told you about the Muccio family, of Port Jefferson Station, who have held an annual lemonade stand fundraiser to buy school supplies for fellow Long Islanders.

In their fifth year of this neighborhood tradition, the siblings were able to collect more than $3,900 at their stand.

Additionally, Walmart donated a $1,500 gift card for them to use at the store.

The group was joined by employees at the Setauket location, who helped them organize and add up their items.

A total of $5,410 in pencils, books and backpacks will go residents in the Middle Country Central School District.

This year’s funds crushed the $2,200 the Muccios raised in 2025 and also exceeded their original fundraising goal of $3,000 they set for themselves this year.
