A man was seriously injured while riding an electric bike in Suffolk County Wednesday afternoon.

Osiris Shepherd, 23, of Huntington Station, was operating a 2025 Talaria e-bike in a parking lot on Gerard St. in Huntington around 2:30 p.m., according to police.

Suffolk Police Second Squad detectives say Shepherd lost control and hit a curb, causing him to eject from the vehicle.

The man then went into the front window of Joanina Ristorante, shattering the glass.

Shepherd was transported to Huntington Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
