A giant floating obstacle course is the latest stop on News 12's Down the Shore.

This weekend, reporters Syma Chowdhry and Jim Murdoch continue exploring the people and places that make the Jersey Shore a summer destination.

Jim visited OCNJ Watersports in Ocean City, where owner T.J. Heist says a floating obstacle course added in 2018 helped transform the business.

"I wake up every morning and love being here and really have a blast," Heist said.

While the company offers fishing charters and boat tours, the floating attraction has become a major draw for families.

"It's like a big jungle gym on the water," Heist said. "Kids go out there for sessions. They run, jump, play, bounce, slide."

After hearing that even parents can't resist giving it a try, Jim decided to take on the course himself.

It took some time to get his sea legs, but he soon found himself climbing, sliding and splashing his way through the floating playground. The adventure also included a ride on the giant "blob" launching platform.

Heist said the attraction is a hit with families.

"Kids are going to sleep well tonight. We don't have to take them to the boardwalk. No arcade. They're going to go home and sleep," he said.
