A teen was seriously injured while riding an e-bike in Nassau County Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Powells Lane, in the vicinity of Baldwin Drive in Westbury.

The 14-year-old was traveling northbound when he crashed into a 2025 Honda CR-V that was sitting stationary in traffic, Nassau police say.

The boy suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle was not hurt and remained at the scene, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
